BOTOX® 

As we age, our skin changes in a number of ways. One of the most noticeable is the appearance of wrinkles, laughter lines, bunny lines, marionette lines and worry lines. The use of BOTOX®  (purified botulinum toxin) can be used to reduce these lines. The results are very subtle and aim to enhance appearance rather than change it. BOTOX®  works by relaxing the facial muscles that produce the frown and laughter lines.

Botulinum toxin has been used for non-surgical facial aesthetic treatment since 1987 and it is used by more and more women and men of all ages. This popularity is due to its ease of use, convenience, natural and effective results.

After an initial visit it takes 1-2 weeks for the result to reach its maximum effect and this effect will last for 3-4 months. After an initial visit all patients are reviewed at 2 weeks to review results.

 

To achieve a consistent results, treatment should be carried out every 4 months for the first year and then on an individual basis less frequently as the effect last longer.

There a very few side effects associated with the use of botulinum toxin but rarely there can be some redness or bruising at the site of the injections.

Juvéderm®

We also offer a reversible and absorbable dermal filler called Juvéderm® Ultra. 

This comprises hyaluronic acid to plump out and soften the lines around the mouth and cheeks, and to add fullness to the lips. The reversibility of this agent and its malleability mean that it the results are effective, safe and subtle and there is no risk of a “trout pout” as there used to be with the older materials.

Dermaroller®

We can improve the overall condition of your skin and improve skin tone with Dermaroller® treatments. This involves the use of micro-needle rollers by a trained and skilled clinician and is significantly more effective than any home treatment.
